Who we are
This website (cambiateaswapy.com) is operated by PESALOR SAS, part of the Quantik group, based in Montevideo, Uruguay, at Paysandú 926. For any question about this policy or your data, write to hola (at) swapy.com.uy.
What we collect
Through this website, we collect:
- Contact and interest forms (the form on /contacto and the rider form on /swappers): name, email, phone number, and whatever message you write to us.
- Newsletter interest, only if you opt in on a form.
- Analytics data (only with your consent): if you accept analytics in the cookie notice, we use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and PostHog to understand how the site is used — pages viewed, how you arrived, your device and browser type, an approximate (city-level) location derived from your IP, and interactions with the page. This is collected under pseudonymous identifiers and analyzed in aggregate — not your name or contact details, unless you've separately submitted a form. Nothing loads until you accept.
We don't collect payment information on this site. Motorcycle purchases and battery-swap subscription ("abono") sign-ups are arranged offline, by phone, WhatsApp, or in person, and are confirmed through a separate agreement.
Why we collect it
We use what you submit to answer your message, follow up on interest in a CPX, VS3, or F600 motorcycle or an abono plan, and arrange things like a test drive. If analytics is active, we use it in aggregate to see which pages and content get used, so we can improve the site.
Where it's stored
Form submissions are stored in Vercel Blob storage, part of this site's hosting infrastructure (Vercel).
How long we keep it
We keep the data we collect for different periods, depending on the nature of the data, the purpose of processing, legal obligations, and how you set your privacy preferences. Your data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this Policy, unless there is another reason to keep it, such as:
- Enabling Swapy to exercise its rights and legitimate interests — such as preserving security, collecting on contracts, preventing fraud and abuse, and maintaining financial records.
- Complying with applicable legal, regulatory, accounting, and judicial requirements and rulings.
Analytics data is retained according to each tool's retention settings (Google Analytics and PostHog) and in aggregate form.
Who we share it with
- Infrastructure providers: the site is hosted on Vercel; form submissions are stored in Vercel's storage (Vercel Blob), under data-processing agreements.
- Analytics: Google (Google Analytics 4) and PostHog process site-usage data as processors, only if you accepted analytics.
- Email: we use Resend to email ourselves a notice of each form you submit; it processes the name, email, and message you send, as a processor, with no tracking pixels.
- Maps: the swap-point map loads its tiles from CARTO, using OpenStreetMap data. Loading them sends CARTO your IP address and browser type. This only happens if you reach that section of the page, and it is necessary to display the map (legitimate interest); it carries no analytics or advertising cookies.
We don't sell your data to third parties.
If a link on this site takes you to an external service — for example, a Microsoft Forms page or WhatsApp — anything you enter there is handled under that provider's own privacy terms, not this one.
International transfers
Some of these providers (Google, PostHog, Resend, Vercel, and CARTO) may process data outside Uruguay, for example in the United States. Where that happens, we require contractual data-protection safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) consistent with Uruguayan law.
Your rights (Uruguayan Law 18.331)
Under Uruguay's data protection law (Ley N.º 18.331, "habeas data"), you can ask to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and object to decisions based solely on automated processing of your data. You can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time — as easily as you gave it — from "Privacy preferences" in the footer. Write to hola (at) swapy.com.uy and we'll respond to your request. You can also file a complaint with Uruguay's data protection authority, the URCDP (Unidad Reguladora y de Control de Datos Personales).
Cookies and local storage
Necessary storage is always on: a local preference to remember your language and the session cookies our team needs to manage the content. Analytics cookies and storage — Google Analytics and PostHog — load only if you accept them in the cookie notice, and you can change your choice at any time from "Privacy preferences" in the footer. We don't use cookies for advertising.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site or our data practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the current version.
